Laser-scribed 3D Hilbert fractal
The 3D Hilbert fractal is a type of space-filling curve, a curve that passes through every point in space.
Our laser-scribed sculpture embodies a discrete Hilbert curve in a cube of glass. The sculpture brings out the structure of the curve from every angle, especially with the illuminated base (see picture).

The infinite-order true Hilbert curve would of course go through an infinite number of points; a "discrete" Hilbert curve in 3D goes through finitely many lattice points. The order-4 curve in our laser-scribed glass cube passes through (24)3 = 4096 lattice points.
